Modification of Inspection and Ownership Certificate Data

• Settlement of all traffic fines, contraventions, and accidents (if any).
• Clearance certificate from the financing authority if the applicant wishes to change the vehicle ownership certificate data from installment to cash.
• Technical inspection approval is required in cases where changes are made to the inspection and ownership certificate data (color, chassis number, engine number, make, vehicle model, weight).
• Payment of the prescribed fees.

Initial Vehicle Registration - New Vehicles from Dealerships or Retail Showrooms

• Attach proof of commercial registration for those trading or importing vehicles
• Civil liability insurance covering the registration validity period
• Pay the applicable fees

Initial Vehicle Registration - Used Vehicles Imported from Abroad

• Civil liability insurance arising from accidents must cover the validity period of the registration certificate.
• Customs clearance certificate.
• Obtaining the necessary approvals from the relevant official authorities-in cases where opening a file is required for certain classifications-(Example: Approval from the Ministry of Transport to open a file for public transportation vehicles, along with fulfilling all technical requirements for the vehicle).

4. Attach one of the following certificates depending on the country of origin:

• Final export certificate (if the vehicle is coming from the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, or Oman), or attach a clearance certificate and vehicle ownership certificate if the vehicle is arriving with Gulf plates.
• Attach one of these two certificates (final export, clearance certificate, detailed report) (if the vehicle is coming from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).
• Certificate of Title and Bill of Lading for vehicles coming from other countries.
• In case of importing a semi-trailer, proof of the year of manufacture must be provided, to be attached with the vehicle record, and the year of manufacture must be stated in the ownership certificate.
• Ownership or registration certificate (European Union).
• Letter from the official governmental authority (Arab countries).
• Attach the certificate of origin, free zone letter, sales contract, and authentication of documents at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Jordanian Embassy (for semi-trailers coming from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan).
• Attach the invoice along with the certificate of origin in the case of a new semi-trailer.

Registration of Vehicles with Cancelled Registration Certificates

• Vehicle must pass the technical inspection
• Civil liability insurance for accidents must cover the validity period of the registration certificate
• Pay the applicable fees
