Land plot requirements:

• Ownership of a real estate of less than 100 Sqm, provided that it is not suitable for housing or for building a residence
• The applicant’s family must be a permanent resident of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
• The wife’s ownership of a real estate, which she acquired through inheritance.

Requirements to apply for a housing unit or an ownership apartment:

• To be a Bahraini.
• The applicant shall not be the owner of a property; they or any member of their family for a period of (3) years prior to the submission of the application and until allocation, and shall be considered an owner, if they have benefited from a dwelling through one of the forms of Islamic financing or under commercial financing, while the following shall be excluded from this non-ownership condition:
• The applicant or any of their family members must not have previously received any housing service for the purpose of owning a dwelling provided by the government or any other entity.
• The applicant’s income at the time of application for a land plot request shall not be less than (800) Bahraini Dinars and not more than (1500) Bahraini Dinars.
• The applicant’s income at the time of application shall not be more than (900) Bahraini Dinars and not more than (1200) Bahraini Dinars at the time of the allocation of the housing unit or ownership apartment.
• The age at the time of submitting the application shall not be less than (21) years and not more than (50) years.

In case of working in private or government sector:

• An updated original Salary Certificate or Salary Slip Stamped in the same month of application.
• A Statement to declare the non-utilisation/non-benefiting of housing services from the companies granting housing services for the applicant and his wife.

2nd category (married to expects):

• Copy of the valid residence permit for the husband.
• Copy of the marriage certificate

2nd category (widow and widower) :

• Copy of the Religious Ordinance “Fareedha” Document 
• Copy of the death certificate

In case of working in military sector:

• Proof of Military ID
• An updated original Salary Certificate or Salary Slip Stamped in the same month of application.

2nd category (divorced) :

• A copy of continuity of custody ( does not exceed one year from date of issue)
• A copy of divorce certificate

In case of freelance work:

• Copy of the Commercial Registration (C.R.). (if there is more than one CR in the name of the applicant, copies of all C.R.s must be provided.
• An original and recent salary certificate for the current month or earlier from the Commercial Register issued by the Notary Office of the Ministry of Justice & Islamic Affairs.
• A one-year bank statement of account in the name of the CR including the IBAN
• Form - Authorization of the Customer to verify the Customer’s accounts

In case of retirement:

• An original Retirement Certificate detailed with bonuses, stamped by the competent authority provided its issuance has not exceeded one month.

3rd category

• Copy of the Death Certificate of the Mother or Father (in case of death of one of the parents)
• Copy of the Religious Ordinance Document “Fareedha” of the Mother or father (in the event of the death of one of the parents)
• Copy of the Mother & Father’s Marriage Certificate
• Copy of the the Mother & Father’s Divorce Certificate (in case of tivorce of the parents)

In case of unemployment:

• Statement of non-insurance coverage from the Social Insurance Organization

1st category:

• Copy of the Marriage Certificate and if issued outside the Kingdom of Bahrain requires the ratification of the certificate by all concerned entities inside and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain.
• Copy of the wife’s valid residency.
