Application For Property Registration

This e_service is for submitting a request to register property by attaching the required documents and entering information of person(s) in whose name property will be transferred and its not a registration till SLRB’s approved the request

Application for Property Registration

Property purchase registration:

  • Original title deed
  • Original sale contract (authenticated by the Notary Office)
  • Copy of valid passport or Identity Card
  • Approval from the Urban Renewal Committee for properties located in Muharraq, Qalali, Budaiya, Al-Jasarah, Khalifa Town, or Zallaq
  • Approval from the Office of Director General at the Land Registration Directorate for properties located in Qudaibiya or Al-Hoora
  • Approval from the Royal Court for properties located in Riffa

Apartment, housing unit or office purchase registration:

  • Original title deed
  • Copy of the apartment survey certificate (housing unit or office)
  • Copy of valid passport or Identity Card
  • Approval from the Royal Court for properties located in Riffa
  • Final approval from the municipality for the sale of apartments
  • Copy of the memorandum of association of the company (if any) in the purchase contract for the seller and buyer, if applicable
  • Copy of the power of attorney (if any)
  • Approval from the Urban Renewal Committee for properties located in Muharraq, Qalali, Budaiya, Al-Jasarah, Khalifa Town, or Zallaq
  • Approval from the Office of Director General at the Land Registration Directorate for properties located in Qudaibiya or Al-Hoora

Registration of a grant:

  • Original title deed
  • Valid original grant document authenticated by the Sharia Court
  • Copy of the Religious Ordinance Document
  • Original waiver paper (if any)
  • Copy of valid passport or Identity Card of the heir
  • Approval from the Urban Renewal Committee for properties located in Muharraq, Qalali, Budaiya, Al-Jasarah, Khalifa Town, or Zallaq
  • Approval from the Office of Director General at the Land Registration Directorate for properties located in Qudaibiya or Al-Hoora
  • Approval from the Royal Court for properties located in Riffa

Registration of inherited property:

  • Original partition contract, if any (authenticated by the Notary Office)
  • The will of the deceased (if available)
  • Copy of the Religious Ordinance
  • Original title deed
  • Copy of passports or Identity Card of all heirs

Registration of blueprint:

  • Approval from the Department of Planning at the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning
  • Copy of approved blueprint by Department of Planning
  • Original title deed
  • Notarised acknowledgement of the assignment of the of designated land for public benefit
  • Copy of owner’s passport or Identity Card
  • Copy of the articles of incorporation (if the property is owned by a company)

Registration of allotment or partitioned property:

  • Original title deed
  • Copy of the Property Partition Authority’s decision, including the partition maps
  • Original court order (under seal) or a letter issued by the execution court
  • Copy of the Religious Ordinance (if cited in the court verdict) and the partition order
  • Copy of the passports or Identity Cards of the owners/heirs
  • Certificate of Non-Appeal issued by the Complaints Office at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf

Registration of a property acquisition or recompense:

  • Original title deed
  • Original copy of the blueprints of the owned or recompensed property
  • Royal Court approval of property acquisition and recompense
  • Copy of owner’s passport or Identity Card
  • Copy of the articles of incorporation (if the property is owned by a company)
  • Notarised acknowledgement from the owner regarding approval of the change in status of the property
  • Notarised acknowledgement from the owners of adjacent properties
  • Letter of property acquisition or recompense from the Urban and Rural Planning Directorate at the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning

Property status change registration:

  • Original title deed
  • Original letter from the Urban and Rural Planning Directorate at the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning
  • Original copy of the blueprints approved by the Department of Planning (according to the previous or altered status)
  • Approval from the Royal Court regarding the change of property status

Merger of two or more properties:

  • Original title deeds
  • For properties located on a private plot, approval must be obtained from the Department of Planning regarding no objections to merging the designated properties
