Residency for the relatives of Bahraini (father, mother, husband or children)

  • The applicant must be a Bahraini.
  • The applicant and the foreigner must be of good conduct and behavior.
  • The foreigner must have valid health insurance in the Kingdom of Bahrain throughout his stay.
  • The applicant mush have a sufficient source of income to support himself and the foreigner.
  • The foreigner must have a suitable place of residence.


Renewal of self-sponsorship residence permit with return visa

For retired foreigners

  • Application form
  • Copy of passport
  • Copy of Identity Card
  • Certificate of Good Conduct
  • Copy of the lease agreement
  • Certificate proving retirement after working in the government or private sector (or in one of the GCC countries) for a minimum period of 15 years
  • Valid health insurance certificate issued by the Kingdom of Bahrain
  • Bank certificate proving the existence of a minimum fixed deposit of BD 5,000 in the Kingdom. Applicant must submit proof of the continued existence of the deposit every 6 months with a bank/ financial institution licensed to operate in the Kingdom of Bahrain
  • Applicant must have a legitimate and stable source of income sufficient to support themselves and their dependents
  • Copy of the applicant or authorized person’s Identity Card
  • Certified copy of the title deed or mortgage agreement
  • Copy of the previous residence permit (for new applications)

For foreign investors:

  • Application form
  • Copy of passport
  • Copy of Identity Card
  • Certificate of Good Conduct
  • Copy of lease agreement

For foreigners who own a residence in the Kingdom of Bahrain:

  • Application form
  • Copy of passport
  • Copy of Identity Card
  • Certificate of Good Conduct
  • Certified copy of the title deed stating that the value of the property owned by the foreigner is a minimum of BD 50,000
  • Valid health insurance certificate issued by the Kingdom of Bahrain
  • Bank certificate proving the applicant has a minimum fixed deposit of BD 15,000 in the Kingdom. Applicant must submit proof of the continued existence of the deposit every 6 months with a bank/ financial institution licensed to operate in the Kingdom of Bahrain
  • Applicant must have a legitimate and stable source of income sufficient to support themselves and their dependents (minimum of BD 500)
  • Copy of the applicant or authorized person’s Identity Card
  • Certified copy of the company’s articles of association and Commercial Registration, certifying that the applicant is a partner/ owner of an industrial, commercial, tourism, medical, educational, training, or other company. Applicant’s share must amount to a minimum of BD 100,000
  • Copy of the applicant’s Identity Card
  • Certified copy of the title deed or mortgage agreement
  • Copy of the previous residence permit (for new applications)
  • Copy of the applicant’s share certificate



Residency for the relatives of Bahraini (father, mother, husband or children)

  • Service request form.
  • A clear copy of mother/father/husband/son/daughter passport valid for more than 6 months (Family Page and any additional information page).
  • A clear copy of the marriage certificate issued from the legal courts of Bahrain or any other country as long as it’s certified (for husband application).
  • A clear copy of the health insurance for the (father / mother / son / daughter / husband).
  • A clear copy of birth certificate issued from the Ministry of Health in Kingdom of Bahrain or any other country as long as it’s certified. (for the father/ mother/ son / daughter application)
  • A clear copy of the applicant’s ID or the authorized person submitting the application.
  • A clear copy of the guarantor’s identity card.



Converting a visitor visa to a self-sponsorship residence permit

  • Dependent on the service request.



Extension of expired residence permit

  • Service application form.
  • An original copy of workers passport and a copy of it.
  • A copy of the ID Card for the guarantor, and a copy of the commercial registration.
  • A copy of the applicants card or legal representative.

Note

  • In the case of a local transfer, an official letter is attached from the new guarantor, or the institution transferred to.



Issuing of residency - for Bahraini foreign wife and Bahraini children married to a foreigner

Documents required for the Bahraini’s wife:

  • Service application form.
  • A copy of the husbands identity card.
  • An original marriage certificate and a copy of it.
  • A copy of the applicants identity card or legal representative.
  • A copy of the wife passport.
  • A letter from the employer. (If the employee is a military officer). The husband or legal representative must be present to carry out the service.

The required documents for Bahraini mother’s children:

  • Service application form.
  • A copy of the original passport of the son/daughter.
  • The foreign spouse’s passport and a copy of it, and a copy of the husband’s residence permit.
  • The original marriage certificate and a copy of it.
  • A copy of the wife and husbands passport.
  • A copy of the original birth certificate and a copy of it.
  • Copy of the applicants identity card or legal representative.

Note:

  • In the case of divorce, the official (custody rule) issued by the Sharia’a courts in the Kingdom of Bahrain must be attached.



Issuing of residence permit - for those with an entry visa over the age of 24

  • Service application form.
  • The original passport of the son/daughter and a copy of it.
  • Copies of the Identity Card of the Bahraini National Guarantor.
  • A copy of the foreign spouses passport.
  • The original marriage certificate and a copy of it.



Issuing a residence for educational authorities

  • Service application form.
  • An original copy of student passport.
  • An Official letter from the university or institute enrolled in.
  • A copy of the applicants identity card or legal representative.



Issuing a work permit

  • Service application form.
  • The applicant’s passport.
  • A copy of the applicants identity card or legal representative.



Establishment of personal sponsorship - delay fees payment for the defaulters (cancellation of residence permit)

  • Service application form.
  • The original passport of workers and a copy of it.
  • A copy of the guarantors ID card, and a copy of the commercial registration.
  • A copy of the applicants card or legal representative.

Note:

  • In the case of a local transfer, an official letter is attached from the new guarantor or the institution to which the transfer is made to.



Cancellation of valid residence

  • Service application form
  • The workers original passport and a copy of it
  • A copy of the ID Card for the guarantor, and a copy of the commercial registration
  • A copy of the applicants card or legal representative

  • A copy of the wife passport.

The required documents for the Bahraini wife’s children from a foreigner spouse:

  • Service application form.
  • A copy of the original passport of the son/daughter.
  • The passport of the foreign spouse and a copy of it and a copy of the husband’s residence permit.
  • An original marriage certificate and a copy of it.
  • A copy of the wifes and husbands passport.
  • An original copy of birth certificate and a copy of it.
  • Copy of the applicants identity card or legal representative.

Note
