Depositing the Documents of formation of a Trade Union

In accordance with Article No. (4) of the Trade Unions' Law No. 33 of 2002, The documents of formation of a trade union are deposited to acquire an independent legal personality after ensuring that they do not violate the Trade Unions Law and the laws in force in the Kingdom. Trade union organizations are an organization established to care for the interests of workers and defend their rights.

Depositing the Documents of formation of a Trade Union

  • Workers in any establishment, or a specific sector, or a specific activity, or similar or related industries or crafts may establish one or more unions of their own in accordance with the provisions of Law No. (33) of 2002 regarding trade unions.
  • The establishment of the union must not be on a sectarian, religious or ethnic basis.
  • Workers subject to the civil service regulations shall have the right to join it.
  • The number of members of the general assembly (founders) shall be three or more and the number of members shall be ten or more.
  • The following conditions must be met by a member of the Trade union:
  • To be among the workers whom the provisions of this law apply.
  • Not to be the employer in the establishment or one of the officials responsible of drawing up its policy by making decisions therein.


Depositing the Documents of formation of a Trade Union

  • Attachment of the minutes of the founding meeting.
  • Attachment of a list of the names of the founders with their signatures.
  • Attachment of copies of personal cards.
  • Attachment of the union's bylaws.
