This Service will allow users to apply for navigation permits for captains/sailors onboard non-commercial vessels of less than 105 GT

Navigation Permit

  • It is prohibited by law to maneuver any boat registered under the Bahraini Flag without obtaining a valid navigation permit issued in accordance with the laws and regulations
  • All applicants should be 18 years of age
  • Navigation Permit issued for captains and workers onboard fishing boats licensed by Fisheries at Agriculture and Marine Resources Affairs

Categories of Navigation Permits issued for pleasure boats:

  • less than 36 ft
  • More than 36 ft (Requires special training)
  • Dhows


Navigation Permit

Requirements to obtain Navigation Permit for pleasure boats:

  • Copy of valid CPR
  • Recent clear photo of applicant
  • Training evidence approved by the Administration for Yachts of 36 ft or More
  • Signed declaration of seafarers awareness instructions
