GDT Vehicle Registration Renewal

Annual Registration Renewal for Vehicles.

Please enter the "Vehicle Details" then click on "Continue".
The Commercial Registration (CR) number should be entered in the following format (12345678) without the dash (-).
For example:If your CR number is 12345 and branch code is 1, the correct format to enter is 1234501.
If your CR number is 12345 and branch code is 23, the correct format to enter is 1234523.

Vehicles Registration Renewal is allowed during 3 months prior to the current renewal date.
Inspection is required annually for all vehicles except those who hold the registration type “Private”, where this condition is applied when the vehicle’s age has exceeded 5 years.
Late fees of 500 fils will be charged for each day after the expiry date until 40 days; after which a fixed fee of BD 20 is charged.
The Renewal Fees for the vehicle registration is subject to change based on the following:
- Vehicle weight.
- If the discount is applied on vehicles owned by Bahraini users of age 60 years and above.
The insurance must be at least third party insurance and valid for one full year starting from the month of vehicle registration with one of the Insurance Companies mentioned below:
- Bahrain National Insurance
- Al Ahlia Insurance
- Solidarity General Takaful
- AXA Insurance
- Takaful International Co.
- Medgulf Takaful B.S.C (c)
- Saudi National Insurance Company
- Royal and Sun Alliance (RSA) Insurance
- T'azur Company
- The New India Assurance Company LTD.
- Gulf Union Insurance
- Saudi Arabian Insurance Co. B.S.C. (C)
- Arabia Insurance Company
For Vehicle Registration Renewal, all contraventions against the selected vehicle must be paid. For Court Contravention(s), you will be able to complete the renewal process online once you settle them with the General Directorate of Traffic (GDT).
